The Wisconsin Badgers made a splash after their 23-3 win over the Northwestern Wildcats at the temporary Medicine Field at Martin Stadium.
Wisconsin’s strength and conditioning coach Brady Collins promised the team that if it came out victorious against the Wildcats, he would go for a dip in Lake Michigan, which the stadium borders.
He kept his promise.
Surrounded by rocks, Collins carefully found a safe diving point before leaping into the water and firing the team up by splashing around.
According to The Associated Press, Wisconsin safety Hunter Wohler said Collins made the promise earlier in the week.
“That’s who Coach Brady is. He brings that energy and that juice every single day,” Wohler said.
Wisconsin quarterback Braedyn Locke threw for 160 passing yards with a 3-yard connection with Tucker Ashcraft for a touchdown in the win.
Northwestern, which suffered its third home loss of the season, played its final game at the temporary stadium. The Wildcats will host their remaining home games at Wrigley Field.
The 5-2 Badgers will return to Madison next week, facing the Penn State Nittany Lions in Week 9.
