The Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry charted his own path when he chose to pursue his signature shoes with Under Armour.

After a long partnership, that’s over.

Under Armour announced Thursday that they’ve parted ways with Curry, whose Curry Brand will operate independently.

It’s not immediately clear what prompted the split here, although there appears to have been some desire to have the Curry Brand independent.

Under Armour put out a release that stated:

“Under Armour Inc. and Stephen Curry today announced plans to separate Curry Brand from Under Armour, ending a partnership that has redefined performance product and athlete-led storytelling for more than a decade. Under Armour, with a disciplined focus on its namesake brand, will develop new UA Basketball products and continue to support athletes and programs across every level of the game.”

Under Armour still has one more Curry shoe coming.

The Curry 13 will launch in February 2026 as planned.

Curry signed with Under Armour in October 2013 after four years with Nike.

The partnership will end after a dozen years.
