Shohei Ohtani has now won four MVP awards. They all came in Southern California, two with the Angels and the most recent two with the Dodgers. On Thursday, the great slugger/pitcher captured the 2025 NL MVP unanimously. Ohtani had 55 home runs, 102 RBI, and 20 stolen bases for a Dodger team that went back to back in winning World Series. As a pitcher, he was 1-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 47 innings. The Dodgers managed Ohtani’s return to the mound carefully after he missed pitching last season following surgery.
Who did Ohtani join as players who won four MVP awards in their careers? It is about as elite a fraternity as one gets.
