A full slate of headline-grabbing quotes continued in Week 4 of the NFL season.
The postgame assessments from players and coaches are always sure to provide some of the best perspectives on the week’s games. From jokes to blunt honesty, the NFL’s fourth week was no different.
“They’re playing that song about the swag, the surf … I was like, ‘This is pretty sweet.'”
Kirk Cousins has his first home win under his belt as an Atlanta Falcon, and suffice to say he loved the vibe that came with it.
The Falcons picked up a major divisional win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday with a late triumph over the New Orleans Saints, securing a 1-0 record in the NFC South. The atmosphere in Atlanta matched the entertaining contest, with Cousins noting that F.L.Y.’s hit “Swag Surfin'” caught his attention.
“[Anthony Richardson’s] mom is 8 days older than I am, so there’s no chance in the world he thinks I’m cool.”
Even at 39 years of age, Joe Flacco still has gas left in the tank.
The veteran signal-caller entered Sunday’s game for the Colts after starting quarterback Anthony Richardson exited early with a hip injury. Flacco performed dutifully in relief action. His two-touchdown outing helped lead Indianapolis to a second straight victory.
Flacco, who is 17 years older than Richardson, made light of the contrast between their respective ages in a postgame interview.
“I changed my pants at halftime.”
With temperatures peaking at over 90 degrees on Sunday afternoon in Tampa, the Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles had to battle sweltering conditions as well as each other.
Mayfield, who threw for just under 350 yards and a pair of scores in Tampa’s 33-16 triumph, had an innovative method for mitigating the heat: a midgame wardrobe change.
“Hot man got in there.”
Younghoe Koo’s field goal clinched victory for the Falcons against the Saints, but he wasn’t the only player to turn in an impressive day. Running back Tyler Allgeier paced Atlanta’s ground attack, carrying the ball eight times for 60 yards, with seven of his carries coming in the second half.
After the game, Allgeier’s head coach used an interesting phrase to shout out the efforts of his “heavy back.”
“There’s no such thing as an ugly win.”
The Texans got it done in the end against the winless Jacksonviille Jaguars, but the victory didn’t come without nerves for the home fans.
Houston trailed for most of the second half but found its form with minutes remaining in the contest. The Texans sealed a late win after a nine play, 69-yard drive ended in a 1-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud to Dare Ogunbowale.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans made sure to note after the game that all victories count the same in the standings.
Hello there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!
Excellent post. I was checking constantly this blog and I am impressed! Extremely helpful info specially the last part 🙂 I care for such info much. I was looking for this particular information for a long time. Thank you and best of luck.
One other issue is when you are in a predicament where you will not have a cosigner then you may really want to try to wear out all of your financing options. You could find many awards and other scholarships and grants that will ensure that you get money to help you with institution expenses. Thx for the post.
Thanks for the tips on credit repair on this excellent blog. The thing I would advice people is always to give up the mentality they can buy today and fork out later. As being a society many of us tend to do this for many issues. This includes trips, furniture, and items we want. However, you must separate one’s wants out of the needs. When you’re working to improve your credit score you really have to make some sacrifices. For example you are able to shop online to economize or you can visit second hand suppliers instead of pricey department stores regarding clothing.
