Vision Passing is currently temporarily disabled in NHL 25 online modes due to an issue causing desync.
Vision Passing was introduced in NHL 24 as a new mechanic to give players a different passing option. It occurs when a user holds down the pass button and an icon appears above each on-ice player’s head, allowing the user to choose who on the ice they want to pass to.
The mechanic being disabled will drastically impact the ability to make long breakout passes.
EA Sports NHL’s statement on the matter is in the post below, there is no firm timetable for a fix.
