Trump plans UFC fight at White House for US 250th anniversary celebrations

Investing.com– U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he is planning to hold an Ultimate Fighting Championship event at the White House in 2026 as part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the formation of the country.

Trump flagged the potential fight during a speech at the Iowa state fairgrounds, where the president largely celebrated the passage of his big beautiful bill through the House of Representatives. The Iowa speech also served as a prelude to the White Houses July 4 celebrations.

Were going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House, Trump said. We have a lot of land there, we are going to build a little, we are not, Dana is going to do it Championship fight, full fight, like 20-25,000 people, and we are going to do that as part of 250 also, Trump said, referring to the planned celebrations for the 2026 independence day.

UFC President Dana White had endorsed Trump during the 2024 elections, with Trump also considering White as a close friend.

The U.S. President has regularly attended UFC fights, having most recently attended one in New Jersey in June.
