The summer transfer window is open! Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!
Manchester United and West Ham United are eyeing up a move for Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui, according to Sky Sports Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg.
The 26-year-old has reportedly emerged as priority targets for both Premier League clubs, and while Bayern were originally demanding 30 million for the right-back, the Bavarian outfit have since dropped their valuation. Instead, it is reported that Bayern are pushing for a 20-25m fee.
Mazraoui is under contract with the German giants until 2026, meaning that Bayern are under little financial pressure to part ways with the defender this summer. However, the Morocco international made just 15 starts in the Bundesliga last season, which could see Bayern decide to facilitate a departure. A departure would see Bayern gain vital funds which could see them secure transfer targets of their own for new manager Vincent Kompany.
Manchester United have been reportedly keen on adding a right-back all summer. The Red Devils have previously been linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, however, Mazraoui has now firmed as an alternative.
– West Ham are working on a deal for Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Football Insider. The report reveals that the 26-year-old will be allowed to leave United this summer as he enters into the final year of his deal at Old Trafford. It is reported that while West Ham are showing an interest, Wan-Bissaka also has approaches from Fenerbahce and Galatasaray to consider.
– Al Ittihad and Manchester City are struggling to reach an agreement on a valuation for goalkeeper Ederson, reveals Fabrizio Romano. The Saudi side have been heavily linked with a move for the 30-year-old, with City potentially open to a departure. It is reported that City are demanding an overall package between 50-60m to part ways with the Brazilian, however, Al Ittihad are not yet close to meeting that valuation.
– Chelsea have identified Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion as their priority target for a new striker, per Nicolo Schira. The 20-year-old notched eight goals in LALIGA during his loan spell at Alaves last season, which has seen interest emerge across Europe in the youngster. The report indicates that Chelsea will look to submit a fresh approach to Atleti, with the Blues looking to agree a deal with Omorodion that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2031.
– Barcelona are increasingly confident that they will secure a deal for Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, suggests Sport. The report reveals that while officials within Barcelona are confident that a deal will be struck, Williams has not yet decided upon his future and has not informed the Catalan outfit of his desire to join the club.
– Paris Saint-Germain will focus on securing a deal for Benfica midfielder João Neves, as opposed to Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, per Fabrizio Romano. PSG are understood to be eager to add to their midfield options this summer and have identified Neves as an ideal fit. The 19-year-old notched three goals and two assists in the Portuguese Primeira Liga last season, reportedly attracting the interest of several Premier League clubs too.
