For some reason, the German national team is doing a Friday/Monday match schedule this international break, so I dont even have a match to recap. Sad. As a part-time non-professional soccer blogger, I should be paid some kind of convenience fee by FIFA for what they have done.
Is there any other sport that does this, by the way? Where youre getting very invested in the week-to-week drama of the season but for whatever reason they slam the brakes to focus on something else every month or so? Clearly Im just another out of touch American who doesnt understand the culture.
