Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is dealing with a back injury that is now expected to sideline him multiple weeks, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday.
Placing Pittman on injured reserve is an option for the Colts, the sources said.
Pittman, who leads the Colts with 22 receptions this season, was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday’s practice.
In his fifth season with the Colts, Pittman is second on the team with 238 receiving yards and also has a touchdown reception this season.
Alec Pierce leads the Colts in receiving yards (368) and touchdowns (3) this season.
Colts wide receiver Josh Downs also missed Wednesday practice as he’s dealing with an ankle injury.
