More details have emerged from the stabbing and arrest of Fox Sports analyst Mark Sanchez.

Fox 59’s Angela Ganote obtained the probable cause affidavit from Indianapolis police on Sunday, in which the detective on the case describes a bizarre scene in which the former NFL quarterback allegedly confronted a truck driver on the job.

There are also photos available of the alleged victim, though be warned they are graphic, showing a large gash in the 69-year-old’s cheek. His family reportedly said the cut from the fight actually went through his cheek and hit his tongue.

Sanchez, who was described by the alleged victim as smelling of alcohol with slurred speech, reportedly said he could only remember only remember grabbing for a window during the incident when a detective took his statement. However, there was both a witness on the scene and security footage from two different hotels, which “closely aligned” with the alleged victim’s recollection of what happened, per police.

Identified only as “P.T.,” the truck driver reportedly said he was doing his job exchanging used cooking oil from the Westin hotel when Sanchez approached him and opened the door of his truck. After P.T. exited the truck, Sanchez claimed he had spoken to the manager of the hotel and and that P.T. could not be there.

Sanchez then allegedly climbed into the truck, at which point a confused P.T. said he wasn’t allowed to be in there. Sanchez got out and continued to claim the hotel manager said he could not replace the fryer oil, then tried to get into the truck again. He allegedly blocked P.T. from obtaining his cell phone, leading the driver to go around the front of the truck with Sanchez following him.

P.T. reportedly went to the opposite loading dock of the Marriott Downtown hotel in an attempt to flag down security officers, then back to the passenger side of his truck, again with Sanchez following him and then blocking him from the truck. P.T. said he went back around to the driver’s side to get his cell phone and Sanchez again followed him, shoving him back.

That’s allegedly when the situation became violent:

Sanchez allegedly kept striking or punching P.T. until the man got up and stabbed him one more time, at which point Sanchez looked shocked and ran away in an alley. He was later found at Loughmiller’s Pub and Eatery, a nearby bar.

Both men were hospitalized once authorities arrived on the scene, with Sanchez in critical condition.

From the Indianapolis Star:

Sanchez was later charged with three misdemeanors: battery resulting in injury, public intoxication, and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.
