The New Orleans Saints have traded fourth-year wide receiver Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Compensation for the trade is yet to be announced.
Shaheed was an undrafted free agent signing for the Saints in 2022. Through just over three seasons in New Orleans, Shaheed has 138 career receptions for 2,055 yards and 12 touchdowns over 42 games. Shaheed earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in his 2023 season as a punt returner and has seen an increased role in the Saints’ offense over each of his four seasons.
Through nine games this season, hes totaled 499 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 44 catches, ranking second on the team in total targets, only behind star receiver Chris Olave, averaging a career-high 7.33 targets per game.
The former Weber State Wildcat is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
