The Cincinnati Reds are bringing back an old friend.

Tejay Antone is coming back to Cincy for another run at it.

Antone, 31, is a right-handed pitcher who has worked his way through the Reds’ organization in his career.

MLB.com’s Mark Sheldon reported Thursday that the Reds are bringing him back on a minor league contract.

In his MLB career, Antone has a 2.47 ERA in 45 outings across four different seasons. But injuries have derailed him.

Antone missed the entire 2022 season after Tommy John surgery.

Then in 2023, Antone only pitched in five games at the major league level.

In 2024, Antone worked four more games in MLB.

Antone missed most of the 2025 season with injury and only pitched in the minors upon his return.

The Reds and Antone clearly like one another, because it didn’t take long to ink this new deal.

Cincinnati would certainly like to see Antone work his way back to the majors, because when he’s been in MLB, he’s been strong. It’s just been a bumpy road of it for Antone.
