Nigeria and DR Congo will battle it out for Africas ticket to the intercontinental play-offs forthe 2026 World Cup.

In the African play-off semi-finals, the “Super Eagles” triumphed over Gabon with a 4-1 victory after extra time. Meanwhile, the “Leopards” managed a narrow win over Gabon, scraping through by the slimmest of margins.

Nigeria is aiming for a seventh World Cup appearance after qualifying for the tournaments in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010, 2014, and 2018.

DR Congo, on the other hand, are looking to return to the worlds biggest stage after more than half a century away from the competition.

The African play-off final is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, kicking off at 7pm GMT.
