It seems the bye week didnt do anything to improve NC States injury situation. If anything, its gotten worse, so thats neat. As they were for the Georgia Tech game, Hollywood Smothers, Justin Joly, and Ronnie Royal are listed as questionable. Anthony Carter Jr. is among the names new to this list; Spike Sowells has gone from listed as out against Tech to questionable this week.
Per a report from Matt Zenitz, Smothers and Joly will be well enough to play, but Ill believe that when I see it.
Safety JJ Johnson is no longer listed, which should mean that hes ready to go.
Miami is dealing with some critical injuries as well, notably to defensive back Keionte Scott, who is a Thorpe Award semifinalist. Scott has 43 tackles, 10.0 TFL, and an interception on the season. Mark Fletcher is the teams leading rusher with 636 yards, and also missed Miamis game last weekend. OJ Frederique is a starting corner, and Tony Johnson has 162 receiving yards this season. David Blay is a starting defensive tackle.
