The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended FC Cincinnati head coach Pat Noonan for an additional match (two matches total) after Noonan was sent off for misconduct in Cincinnati’s MLS clash with Chicago in July. Additionally, Noonan has been fined ‘an undisclosed amount’ by the league.
While Noonan may have thought he would be out of the woods after serving a one match ban against the New York Red Bulls, Cincinnati will be without their head coach for their next MLS match against Inter Miami at the end of August.
Cincinnati have begun to slip in recent weeks, falling behind Eastern Conference leading Miami in the Supporters Shield race having previously been ahead of the Herons.
But focus remains on the Leagues Cup as Cincinnati will need to get a result on the final matchday of the group stage against NYCFC to finish top of their respective group.
