Just one day after MLB Pipeline updated their list of the Top 100 prospects, Baseball America has followed suit, and they also had six Mets making the cut.
The six Mets prospects on Baseball America’s updated list are:
No. 22: Christian ScottNo. 36: Jett WilliamsNo. 64: Drew GilbertNo. 65. Ronny MauricioNo. 85: Blade TidwellNo. 86: Brandon Sproat
This list is very similar to MLB Pipeline, with the difference being that Mauricio and Tidwell made the cut here, while Ryan Clifford and Luisangel Acuña were included on MLB Pipeline’s rankings but not Baseball America’s.
The above six players are all ranked among the top eight in the Mets’ system on Joe DeMayo’s updated Top 30 list for SNY.
Tidwell, in his first season at the Triple-A level, is going through a bit of an adjustment period, pitching to a 5.12 ERA in seven games. The 23-year-old has been solid for the most part, though, outside of one rough outing on June 5, when he allowed four earned runs while recording just two outs in a relief role.
Mauricio, meanwhile, is recovering from January ACL surgery and is likely out for the entire season, though perhaps there is a small chance he returns at the tail end.
Scott, Baseball America’s top Mets prospect, will make his return to the majors on Wednesday night against the Washington Nationals.
