Knicks select Pacome Dadiet with No. 25 pick, make multiple trades in 2024 NBA Draft

After the Knicks traded back in the 2024 NBA Draft they selected guard Pacome Dadiet with the No. 25 pick on Wednesday night.

New York originally had the No. 24, but they traded it to the Washington Wizards for the No. 26 and No. 51 picks. The Knicks would select Kyshawn George, a forward out of the University of Miami, whose rights will go to Washington once the trade is complete.

The Knicks then dealt that No. 26 pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for five second-round picks, reports The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Per Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer, the Thunder are sending 2025’s most favorable second rounder via either the Celtics or Grizzlies, OKC’s 2026 second-rounder via the Warriors, a 2027 via the Timberwolves, 2027’s second-most favorable of four teams (OKC, Houston, Heat, Pacers) and a 2027 most favorable between those same four teams.

The 6-foot-8 Dadiet averaged 6.6 points on 47.3 percent shooting over 59 games in three difference European leagues last season.

By trading out of the No. 26 pick and stashing Dadiet, and replacing those picks by rostering two second-round picks on rookie minimums, the Knicks save roughly $3 million in team salary for the upcoming season, per Capsheet.com’s Yossi Gozlan.

It is still unclear whether or not the Knicks will stash Dadiet.
