Smith, Barkley’s co-host for many years on TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” spoke about his colleague’s announcement.
Smith brought up the subject during his speech at a New York event promoting Australia’s NBL before Wednesday.

This is the first instance where any of Barkley’s co-hosts have spoken about his retirement announcement that he made.
