John Terry names Chelsea ace he’s “delighted” for, reveals he’s “unbelievable” in training

Chelsea legend John Terry has stated hes delighted for Joao Pedro as he praised his start to life at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro joined Chelsea from Brighton in the summer and was one of five attacking signings as Chelsea completely revamped their front line.

The Brazil international hit the ground running at the Club World Cup, with three goals in three games, including two in the semi final and one in the final.

Pedro carried that form into the start of the Premier League season, and the 24-year-old has scored four goals and registered three assists in the opening 11 games.

He scored in back to back games against Tottenham and Wolves before the international break, which were his first goals since the end of August.

Enzo Maresca has stated on a number of occasions Pedro has been playing whilst managing an injury, and it appears the attacker has now got back to some of his best form after a difficult run.

Terry believes Pedro has made a great start to life at Chelsea, and revealed hes been told the Brazil international is amazing in training.

Hes had a really good start to his Chelsea career and I think a lot of strikers come in and dont get off to the start that hes got off too so Im delighted for him, he told The Obi One Podcast.

Also, I see him train and the boys tell me hes unbelievable in training as well.

So I like the way he trains, his whole demeanour, and hes scoring goals, which I love.

Pedro went through a period where he struggled playing as the lone number nine, but the return of Liam Delap should help him.

Delap started against Wolves with Pedro playing in the number ten, and it seems hes more effective behind the striker, without Cole Palmer playing behind him.

Once Palmer returns it will be interesting to see if Maresca goes with Pedro as the first choice striker or he decides to rotate him in the number ten position.
