While Americans are well-represented at the 2024 Paris Olympics, one sport where an American team won’t be competing in is Handball. In fact, the last time an American team competed in the sport was in 1996 at the Atlanta games, and that was only because America was hosting the games.
This year France not only has the honor of playing host to the Olympic games, they’re also the defending gold medalists in both the men’s and women’s Handball competitions, after coming in first at the 2020 Tokyo Games. Though the sport doesn’t have a huge presence in the U.S., it’s vastly more popular in many European countries like Norway, Germany, Denmark and Spain, who all have teams competing in the men’s and women’s events this year.
Whether you’re new to the sport or a die-hard fan, you can catch every handball game on Peacock, and select games on USA, CNBC and E! between July 25 and August 11. Games will be held at South Paris Arena 6 and Pierre-Mauroy Stadum in Lille, and we’ve got the full schedule and list of competitors so you can tune in to them all.
And in case you’d like a quick primer on the sport, here’s everything you need to know about handball before the Games begin.
Dates: July 25 – August 11
Location: South Paris Arena 6 and Pierre-Mauroy Stadium, Lille

Every single Olympic sport and event of the 2024 Paris Olympics will be available on Peacock, including Handball. The streaming service will offer a curated viewing experience for viewers with the Discovery Multiview which allows fans to watch up to four events at once, so if you’re hoping to check out a Handball game that’s happening during, say, a Rugby match you’re also invested in, you can keep them all up on your screen at the same time.
In addition to streaming on Peacock, most major games of the Olympic Handball tournament will be broadcast between the USA Network, E!, and CNBC, with both the men’s and women’s Gold finals airing on both USA and Peacock.
Starting at $8 a month, a Peacock subscription is the easiest way to stream all of the 2024 Olympics. Peacock will have coverage of every Olympic sport at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Plus, the platform offers subscribers an Olympics Discovery Multiview, allowing you to watch up to four events at once. Peacock will also have several original shows covering the Games, including Gold Zone, Watch with Alex Cooper and a mobile-app exclusive, customizable and individualized Olympics recap show, narrated by an A.I.-generated voice of Al Michaels.
On top of coverage of every Olympic sport in 2024, youll also get access to thousands of hours of shows and movies, including beloved sitcoms such as Parks and Recreation and The Office. For $14 monthly you can upgrade to an ad-free subscription which includes live access to your local NBC affiliate (not just during designated sports and events) and the ability to download select titles to watch offline.
