Former Raider Jones enters a plea of no contest and could potentially avoid serving time in jail.

On June 17, former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones entered a no contest plea for a domestic violence charge.

Jones was given a 90-day jail sentence, but it was suspended. The charge will be dropped if he avoids trouble.

Jones, aged 34, was taken into custody in Las Vegas in September and accused of a misdemeanor for breaking a domestic violence law.

In September, he was charged with two misdemeanors, but one of the charges was dropped when he pleaded guilty.

Jones was released by the Raiders following his arrest in September. This occurred during his second season with the team.

Jones had been absent from the Raiders since Labor Day weekend before he was released.

Jones, a four-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time first-team All-Pro recipient, did not.
