A product of Moskva, Russia, Iskhakov spent this past season playing for Bridgeport and the New York Islanders. In one game with New York, he collected an assist. With Bridgeport, he scored 18 goals and added 32 assists for 50 points in 69 regular season games.

Drafted by the Islanders in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Iskhakov spent the past two seasons with the Islanders organization. Prior to that, he played in Finland, Germany and at the University of Connecticut.

As Iskhakov heads back to his home country, he will be suiting up in the KHL for the first time in his career. Having been named an AHL All-Star this past season, Iskhakov should be an important offensive contributor for the team as soon as he hits the ice.
