Deion Sanders may be dealing with blood clots again.
Sanders coached much of Colorados 35-21 loss to TCU without a shoe on his left foot. After the game he said it was because his foot was in so much pain.
I think I got more blood clots, Sanders said after the game. Cats out of the bag, alright. I think I got more blood clots. It dont make sense. Im hurting like crazy. I got a doctors appointment on Monday to see what time it is. So thats whats going on. Im not getting blood to my leg, thats why my leg is throbbing.

Sanders dealt with blood clots in the fall of 2021 while he was coaching Jackson State. He had recently had surgery on his left foot and the schools trainer noticed that toes on his foot had turned black. Sanders ended up having the two biggest toes on his left foot amputated because of the femoral arterial clots.
In the summer of 2023, Sanders missed Pac-12 media day due to surgery for blood clots in his right leg.
This summer, Sanders announced that he had his bladder removed after he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Sanders said that he elected to have his bladder completely removed because of the cancers recurrence rate. Colorado assistant trainer Lauren Askevold the same person who noticed Sanders toes at Jackson State said that Sanders bladder cancer was discovered as doctors went over the vascular tests he undergoes after the blood clot issues.
Saturday night, Colorado turned the ball over four times for the first time since 2022 in the loss. TCU tied the game at 14-14 before halftime after a Kaidon Salter interception and intercepted Salter again at the goal line right at the end of the second quarter as Colorado was threatening to take a 21-14 lead.
The Colorado QB finished with three interceptions and was 18-of-29 passing for 217 yards and two touchdowns. The loss dropped the Buffs to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the Big 12.
Its frustrating because Im seeing what you see. I felt like and this is no disrespect to TCU because theyre well-coached, they did a wonderful job, quarterback made plays I feel like were the better team. I felt like that last week and the week before. But yet and still were in this situation.
