Li Yuehong has triumphed in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol to become China’s first ever Olympic gold medallist in the event.
The 34-year-old finished with a score of 32 in front of South Korea’s Cho Yeongjae, who scored 25, and compatriot Wang Xinjie’s 23.
Yuehong’s victory adds to his bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 and World Championship victory last year, where he scored 39 to set a new world record.
