Caitlin Clark will miss her 10th game of the season when the Indiana Fever host the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday night.
Clark is still making her way back from a left groin injury that has kept her out since June 24, an absence of five games. She had missed five straight earlier in the season due to a left quad strain.
Fever head coach Stephanie White said Friday that Clark has done some work, but has yet to go through a full speed practice. White added that Clark “is not a fan” of having her minutes restricted in a game and the team would choose to hold the 23-year-old out another game if it comes that.
Clark has averaged 18.2 points, 8.9 assists and 5 rebounds per game this season. She was questionable for Tuesdays Commissioners Cup championship game, but she was ruled out ahead of time. The Fever went on to beat the Minnesota Lynx 74-59.
The Fever hold a 9-8 record and have won four of their last five games heading into Saturdays matchup with the Sparks.
