It was a great year for the Toronto Blue Jays, and hopefully, for the organization’s sake, it’ll be the beginning of something very special in Toronto.

It’ll be interesting to see what the front office and ownership want to do during the offseason, but after giving Vladimir Guerrero Jr a $500 million deal, it feels like something else has to come for the Blue Jays.

It wouldn’t have made much sense to give Guerrero that type of money if the Blue Jays didn’t plan to spend elsewhere.

That doesn’t mean the organization will spend hundreds of millions of dollars on multiple players, but for someone like Bo Bichette, it’s a factor that has to be considered.

According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, Bichette has a big-time market, and it’s increasingly likely that he could end up on a different team than the Blue Jays.

Can confirm Bo Bichette has received interest from multiple teams who view him as a second baseman or third baseman, due to the presence of an established shortstop on those rosters.

Further evidence that the World Series augmented his value in the marketplace, he wrote.

The Blue Jays moving on from someone like Bichette seems questionable, considering he has led the league in hits twice throughout his career and was on pace to do so again this season before going down with an injury.

However, this decision will come down to money, so if they don’t want to pay him, someone else will.
