This will shock no one, at least in the theme of it.
Bill Belichick is “on to Wake Forest.”
The North Carolina Tar Heels head football coach released a statement Friday night in regards to the New York Giants’ job, which will conceptually be open after the season following the firing of Brian Daboll.
Belichick has been linked to the gig, and he decided to clear things up.
He doesn’t plan on going anywhere.

This is Belichick’s first year as a college football coach.
He didn’t coach anywhere in 2024 following his end with the New England Patriots in 2023.
Belichick was on the Giants’ coaching staff from 1979-1990, winning two Super Bowl rings as an assistant. That is part of the reason he’s been connected to this gig.
But at least based on this, the Giants will have to look elsewhere for their next head coach.
