Arsenal have completed the signing of goalkeeper Anneke Borbe.
The 24-year-old signs following the expiration of her contract at Wolfsburg and joins on a free transfer, as was the case with Chloe Kelly and Taylor Hinds.
She started her career at Werder Bremen, where she made 77 appearances before joining Wolfsburg, who she made 15 appearances for, in 2023.
Im really proud to join this amazing club, Borbe said. Im so happy to have the opportunity to come and be a part of Arsenal at such an exciting time.
Im looking forward to getting down to work with my team-mates and of course playing in front of our incredible supporters at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal head coach Renee Slegers said: Were delighted to bring Anneke to the club. Weve been impressed by her composure and aerial presence and we believe she has a high ceiling for development here.
Were looking forward to working with Anneke in this next chapter of her career and I know our supporters will join us in giving her a warm welcome here.
On the younger side for a goalkeeper, Borbe is expected to settle into an Arsenal goalkeeping group that includes Manuel Zinsberger and Daphne van Domselaar without any issues.
Director of womens football Clare Wheatley added: Anneke is a young goalkeeper with significant potential and were very pleased to bring her to the club.
She has excellent qualities and will further strengthen our goalkeeper unit ahead of next season. We welcome Anneke to Arsenal and wish her every success here in north London.
Borbe will wear the number 28.
