Kentucky basketball point guard Jaland Lowe has another shoulder injury. How long until we should expect to see the Pittsburgh transfer suit up for the Wildcats again?
Following Fridays blowout win over Eastern Illinois, head coach Mark Pope gave a brief update on Lowe. Pope says the team has received a bevy of second and third opinions on Lowe and what the best course of action is. They hope to have a final decision made in the coming days, so it doesnt sound like well be waiting much longer to hear if Lowes season is over or if hell play again.
We will have some discussions over the next couple of days about what is the best thing to do, said Pope. Its about the whole group, the medical team, mom and dad, Jaland Lowe, and me having a real conversation about whats the best thing to do moving forward.
Pope also gave a small update on Jayden Quaintance, who has yet to play this season while recovering from ACL surgery and hopes to make his UK debut sometime in December.
With JQ, Im not spending a lot of time worrying. Im just excited when hes ready to go, and its gonna be fun, said Pope. We have so much to figure out with JQ. He hasnt been in any type of live actionit will be nine months since hes actually done anything live and had any contact at all.
Im way more curious than I am worried. Im curious about how quickly hes gonna learn us and how hes gonna fit in to the deal and what type of impact he can make and what type of player he is gonna be.
