Grady Kinsey stands alone.
Ohio has produced some of the best players to ever grace a high school football field. None have ever run for as many touchdowns as the Indian Valley senior.
On Friday night, Kinsey set the new OHSAA all-time rushing TD record during a dominant playoff performance in the D-IV Region 13 semifinal against Jonathan Alder.
Kinsey entered the night with 122 career rushing touchdowns.
By halftime, he was up to 125 as he ran for more than 200 yards with three scores before heading back to the locker room.
Kinsey broke the record of 124 held by Harvest Prep’s Daniel Bangura.
Here’s the entire top-10 list:
As mentioned in the above tweet, Kinsey is heading to Air Force after high school.
That’s a pretty awesome place for a high school senior to aim his future. There, he’ll join another OHSAA D-IV star, quarterback Brayden DeVito from Shelby. They’re both contenders for Mr. Football, and they’re both primed for big college careers.
But no matter what Kinsey does at the next level, he’ll have this record on his resume.
And given that Indian Valley, the defending state champs, have a few more games, Kinsey will likely put this record in a spot where it’s nearly untouchable.
