After a long and hard-fought season, it’s officially time for the country’s best teams to compete in the 2025 NCAA field hockey championships.

Conference tournaments brought the heat last week with storied programs North Carolina and Northwestern winning the ACC and Big Ten fields. With the NCAA bracket announced shortly after, the Tar Heels took the No. 1 seed, followed by Princeton, Harvard and Virginia.

North Carolina and Northwestern have traded the championship trophy back and forth over the past several years, with UNC winning five titles and the Wildcats taking two. Will these powerhouses find their way back atop the podium, or is it someone else’s turn?
