Playing against a always dangerous Lewisville team, the Eagles at one point held a two-score advantage and barely came away with a 22-15 victory at Eagle Stadium.
Early in the contest, Allen (11-0) looked to be in full control as quarterback Jeremiah Daoud engineered two scoring drives, one with his arm and the other with his legs. Daoud would connect on a 11-yard scoring strike to wide receiver Josyah Johnson and then ran one in himself from six yards out to give the Eagles a 14-0 lead.
The Fighting Farmers would get on the board just before halftime with a field goal make, sending the teams into intermission with Allen up 14-3.
Lewisville pulled to within 14-9 when Derrick Martin III lobbed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Xavier Fleming midway through the third quarter. Early in the final period, the Fighting Farmers took their first lead of the game, coming off a Allen turnover when quarterback Tre Williams found Traejan Mueller on a 21-yard touchdown pass.
With less than four minutes left in the ball game, the Eagles took the lead back for good when Lyndon Spriggs scored on a short scoring run and a converted 2-point try afterwards gave Allen a 22-15 lead that wouldnt relinquish.
