Despite the New York Knicks making some better moves during the offseason to improve their depth, it still seems like the team could use more.
It remains uncertain what the Knicks front office plans to do around the trade deadline or before it, but there’s reason to believe that a trade could come in the near future.

The trade: Guerschon Yabusele, Pacôme Dadiet, Tyler Kolek and a 2026 first-round pick (top-four protected) to the Memphis Grizzlies for Ty Jerome
New Knicks coach Mike Brown has done what it can to lighten the workload carried by the starters, which had perhaps reached an untenable amount under previous skipper Tom Thibodeau. That said, the New York’s second-teamers aren’t exactly capitalizing on their expanded workloads.

It’ll be a bit surprising to see the Grizzlies already move on for Jerome, but they’ve also been one of the worst teams in the NBA, and with the obvious situation going on with Ja Morant, it might not be the worst idea to move on from players now.
The Grizzlies will have some tough decisions to make over the next few months, and even if it isn’t Jerome who ends up in New York, it’s possible that other players could be a good fit in Madison Square Garden.
Jerome has been out this year with a calf injury.
