The New England Patriots didn’t get off to a good start on Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets.

The Jets ran right down their throats, passing twice but running on every other play.

In the end, Justin Fields kept himself for a rushing touchdown.

And on the drive, Milton Williams got hurt.

The star defensive tackle didn’t make it through the first drive.

Williams left with an ankle injury.

The Pats ruled him questionable to return.

Williams entered the night having played in 10 games this season. In that time, he had 3.5 sacks out of 27 tackles (including 7.0 tackles for loss).

This is Williams’ first year in New England. He won a Super Bowl last season in his fourth and final campaign with the Eagles.

It’s not good if Williams has to stay on the sideline, because the Jets appear intent on running a lot, and Williams would’ve been key to New England’s gameplan of slowing down Justin Fields, Breece Hall and company.
