Ohio State women’s basketball (2-0) overwhelmed Bellarmine (1-2) at Value City Arena on Nov. 13. The Buckeyes rolled to an easy 90-33 victory that they hope will give them some momentum headed into this weekend’s game against No. 1 UConn.
Thursday’s game was so lopsided that Ohio State was able to give major minutes to its bench, and OSU’s non-starters scored 49 points, led by reserve guard Dasha Biriuk, who had 15.
Starting point guard Jaloni Cambridge led all Buckeyes scorers with 18. She also had eight rebounds.
The Buckeyes held the Knights to 6% shooting and just two made field goals in the first half, before Bellarmine went 9-for-29 shooting in the second half.
OSU next plays the top-ranked Connecticut Huskies at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut, at noon on Nov. 16.
