Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford: Fight card, start time, everything you need to know for Netflix blockbuster

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Terence Crawford are just days away from making boxing history. The two pound-for-pound stars collide this Saturday, Sept. 13, with Alvarez’s undisputed super middleweight championships on the line in a bout that is expected to be one of boxing’s biggest of 2025.

Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs) is a two-time undisputed super middleweight champion, meaning he has captured the sport’s four most prestigious belts from its four major sanctioning bodies the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF. Long considered to be the face of boxing and the biggest star in the sport, Alvarez, 35, has held world titles in four divisions overall and is Uncrowned’s No. 8 pound-for-pound boxer in the world.

He recaptured undisputed status this past May with a unanimous decision over then-IBF champion William Scull in a bizarre fight that was widely panned after “Canelo” and Scull combined to throw the fewest punches in a 12-round bout in the 40-year history of boxing stat-tracker CompuBox. Despite that, anticipation remains high for a dream matchup few within boxing ever imagined would be possible.

Saturday’s fight is viewed as such mainly because Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) was never expected to jump all the way up to the super middleweight division (168 pounds) Alvarez currently calls home.

Crawford, 38, is also a four-division world champion who did the majority of best career work at super lightweight (140 pounds) and welterweight (147 pounds), becoming undisputed champion in both weight classes. Yet now Uncrowned’s No. 3 pound-for-pound boxer in the world is vaulting up three divisions to take on the toughest task of his already Hall of Fame-worthy career. If he succeeds and punctuates his undefeated record, Crawford’s place among the all-time greatest to ever do it will be undeniable.

Alvarez, as the younger and larger fighter, is currently listed as a -160 favorite to win by BetMGM, while Crawford currently sits as the +145 underdog.

The Canelo vs. Crawford fight card kicks off Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET with a six-fight preliminary card airing live on Netflix’s Tudum website. The main card begins at 9 p.m. ET on Netflix, with main-event ring walks expected around 11 p.m. ET.

Canelo vs. Crawford takes place at the 65,000-seat home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
