The Kansas City Current continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 win over the Houston Dash, making their mark in the NWSL record books in the process.
The win marked the Current’s 17th straight game without a loss, breaking the NWSL regular-season record for an unbeaten streak. The record was previously held by the 2014 Seattle Reign, whose streak spanned only one season.
The last time the Current lost was a 2-1 defeat to the Washington Spirit on Sept. 30, 2023.
Temwa Chawinga led the way with a brace in the span of three minutes, giving her an NWSL-leading 11 goals on the season.
