In the first period of the Chicago Blackhawks matchup against the Winnipeg Jets, Petr Mrazek left the game due to injury.
He initially stayed in the game following the play where he hurt himself making a save on Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton but was in clear discomfort.
He stayed following the next TV timeout as well after going over some things with the trainer but it didn’t last long. He eventually went to the room and was replaced by Arvid Soderblom.
Mrazek has been mostly available to the Blackhawks over the last two seasons after having some injury trouble right before that long stretch of health.
The Blackhawks hope that this isn’t an injury that will keep him out for any sustained period. He’s been great and one of the bright spots on the team.
Andres Sorensen will likely provide an update in his first-ever NHL postgame presser.
