The January transfer window won’t reopen in Europe for a while yet, but there are plenty of moves in the works and gossip swirling around. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!
Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close eye on Internazionale striker Marcus Thuram ahead of a possible move in the summer, reports Calciomercato.
The 27-year-old has got off to a clinical start this season, recording seven goals and three assists in seven Serie A matches — including a hat-trick against Torino last time out.
There have not yet been any contacts made with Thuram or Inter, but the French giants intend to closely monitor him and consider him a possible option to move for in the summer transfer window.
If Les Parisiens eventually choose to attempt to sign Thuram, they could look to avoid any negotiations with Inter by triggering the striker’s release clause, which is worth around 90 million.
That route could be necessary to negotiate with Thuram and his entourage, as Inter are keen to hold onto their frontman and continue to enjoy his goals.
Even so, he remains on the list of players that PSG are looking at carefully as they continue to build their post-Kylian Mbappé squad.
– Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup is on the list of players that AC Milan are considering making a move for during the January transfer window, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. This comes with I Rossoneri being keen to bring in somebody who can replace Youssouf Fofana in the middle with Ismaël Bennacer currently out injured.
– William Saliba is happy at Arsenal despite reports linking the centre-back to Real Madrid, as reported by TEAMtalk, who add that Los Blancos have contacted his agent. The Gunners have no intention of letting the 23-year-old leave due to his importance for Mikel Arteta’s team, although a “monster offer” could be considered by the club’s hierarchy.
– Manchester United are considering a move for RB Salzburg right-back Amar Dedic in January, reports TEAMtalk, who add that the Red Devils will face competition from Brighton & Hove Albion and Napoli. The feeling at Old Trafford is that the 22-year-old can provide competition for Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui.
– Manchester United will look to offload midfielder Casemiro as soon as the January transfer window opens, reports Football Insider. The 32-year-old has been dropped from manager Erik ten Hag’s starting lineup having struggled this season, and the Red Devils will now look to get the Brazilian off their wage bill with the Saudi Pro League being mentioned as a possible destination.
– Anderlecht are planning to make Leander Dendoncker’s loan from Aston Villa permanent, reports Ekrem Konur. The 29-year-old midfielder started his career with Anderlecht and was signed on loan during the summer, playing 90 minutes in each of his five appearances so far.
